Scratch Turntable Game Gets New Developer and Release Date

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ has a new developer and pushed back release date.
Commotion Interactive, the music and party game division of Bedlam Games, will complete the development of the turntable peripheral-based music title. The new developer has stated a new release date of early 2010 for both the PS3 and Xbox360 consoles.

Sony Patents Another Motion Control System

Sony patented a motion control system that uses items that you’d have around your house as a game controller. The patents shows the camera based system using items such as “coffee mugs, drinking glasses, books, bottles, etc.”. The system maps out the object in your hand and saves it to a profile for future use.
This look’s to be Sony’s answer to Microsoft’s Project Natal.

New renders of the turntable video game controller that will be released with DJ Hero at the end of the year. I’d also like to think a effects dial and crossfader controllers will make it onto the controller at some point.

Beatle Guitar Controllers will be released around September 2009

The Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet guitar controllers will be available in September 09 around when the Beatles: Rock Band game comes out. Cost is looking to be around $99 each. Nice looking but for the $100 price tag I’d be hard pressed to upgrade when I already own two Rock Band Guitars.

Sony PS3 Wireless Keypad

This new Bluetooth device by Sony attaches to any DUALSHOCK3 or SIXAXIS™ wireless controller and enables easier internet browsing, e-mailing and instant messaging on the PLAYSTATION Network.

Currently Amazon has this wireless keypad on pre-order with a expected release date of December 15th. The retail price is going to be $49.99.
